No, they do not have to be Catholic! We often have campers who are Catholic bring friends who are not, and they too find a place of welcome and belonging here. The Pines is inclusive for all campers, regardless of religious beliefs or church involvement.
Our Catholic identity is at the heart of our ministry, and our spiritual programming includes Mass, prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, and praise and worship. We also provide opportunities for campers to pray with their counselors and cabinmates and to celebrate the Sacrament of Confession with our chaplains. Our relational ministry approach is to meet campers where they are in their faith journey and accompany them without mandating or demanding participation of any kind.
