    Dallas Bus Riders:

    We know you are excited for summer camp to begin! Please know that our staff is excited to meet you too, but our doors will not open for bus check-in until 10:45 AM on Sunday. Campers must be signed in by a parent or guardian who is 21+ years old.

    Please bring your luggage inside upon arrival. You will receive luggage tags at check-in. We will not provide lunch on the bus, so we encourage you to eat before or pack a lunch. Campers will eat dinner around 5:00 PM at camp.

    AFTER CHECKING IN, campers and parents are required to stay at the office until the bus departs.

    Parents, we will text you when the bus arrives at camp!

    Teen Week (Week 5) Bus Return:

    The bus returns to our office around 8:00 pm. The same information applies. We WILL provide a sack dinner to Teen Week campers coming home on the bus.

    If your camper will be traveling by bus from The Woodlands on Sunday, check-in begins at 9:30 AM. Campers must be signed in by a parent or guardian who is 21+ years old.

    We will not have Sunday lunches on the bus, so we encourage you to pack a lunch. Campers will eat dinner around 5:00 PM at camp.

    AFTER CHECKING IN, campers and parents are required to stay at the church until the bus departs.

    The Woodlands bus will depart from the St. Teresa of Calcutta center at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Please note that this building is not the main church. Use the address below to get to the correct location:

    If your camper will be traveling by bus from Baton Rouge on Sunday, check-in begins at 8:00 AM. Campers must be signed in by a parent or guardian who is 21+ years old.

    We will not have Sunday lunches on the bus, so we encourage you to pack a lunch. Campers will eat dinner around 5:00 PM at camp.

General Bus Information

  • Bus campers are allotted TWO luggage tags for under the bus. Please do not bring more than two items for the cargo hold. Campers can take smaller items on the bus for the drive.

  • Lunch is not provided on the way to camp. Please bring lunch or snacks if desired.

  • At least two Summer Counselors are assigned to each bus and will check campers in and off the bus.

  • Check-in is required before your camper is allowed to board the bus. Please be on time (or early)! See the detailed information above regarding the bus your camper will be riding. Feel free to call our office (214-522-6533) with any questions.

  • Family movies are shown on buses.

  • Bus space is limited, so book reservations as early as possible.

  • All campers must be signed in & out by a parent or guardian over 21 years of age.

Bus Check-in & Check-out Overview

    1. Arrive at the departure location in time for bus check-in.

    2. Sign in your camper, turn in any medication, and complete a brief health screening with a Pines representative.

    3. Pick up your parent information sheet, which includes your camper’s cabin assignment, camper email address, and information about the Campanion app to view photos and updates from the week.

    4. Make sure luggage is tagged and load it onto the bus.

    5. Give your camper a big hug and put them on the bus!

    • Bring any medication in a resealable plastic bag, clearly marked with the camper’s full name. Please label all medication, including over-the-counter meds.

    • Lunch is not served. Please eat before arrival or bring a lunch or snacks for the bus ride. Campers will eat dinner around 5 pm at camp.

    1. Arrive at the departure location before the bus is anticipated to arrive (depends on location.)

    2. Sign out your camper with a Pines representative.

    3. Check out medication with a bus counselor is applicable.

    4. Help your camper verify that they have the correct luggage and all their belongings.

    5. Jump in the car and ask a hundred questions about their week at camp!

    • You can check out your camper before or after the bus arrives, but please make sure someone signs them out.

    • Identification verification may be required to sign out a camper and take them home.

  • • Please discuss with your camper that Pines Summer Staff will be in charge of campers while on the bus. Expectations for behavior will be communicated to campers after they have boarded the bus and before the bus departs.

    • If your camper is traveling from The Woodlands, Austin, or Baton Rouge we recommend you pack a snack or lunch to send with your camper on Sunday. We will provide a sack lunch for them on Saturday for the trip home.

    • Be aware that legal supervision of campers begins at the time that the child is signed in by his or her parent or guardian.

    • If you anticipate a late arrival or pickup, please notify The Pines by calling the Dallas Office at (214) 522-6533.

    • If there is a transportation emergency or time change, we will notify you via email or text.

    • A parent or guardian 21 years or older must be the one to sign in and out the camper. The camp registrar needs to be notified prior to check-in if someone other than the legal guardian will be checking a camper in or out.
