The Pines is a Catholic Summer Camp located in East Texas for kids ages 7-16.  If you are looking for a summer camp that offers new adventures in a safe environment where your campers can make new friends and explore their faith while having fun, then The Pines Catholic Camp is the summer camp for you!

Complete camper registration packets are now available on the Summer Camp Home page and must be filled out by everyone even if you have already sent in a preregistration form.

SCENIC LOCATION                         

The beautiful 130-acre campsite of The Pines Catholic Camp, nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas, offers a sanctuary-like setting for groups and summer campers alike.  The Pines serves several thousands annually mainly from Texas,  Louisiana and Oklahoma, however our campers do come from over 30 states and 3 countries.  In addition to summer camp, other offerings include environmental education programs, spiritual retreats, leadership training, rentals and other custom retreats.  The beauty of the East Texas Woods has created a amazing scene as the backdrop for our Catholic Camp

THE EGAN FAMILY

John a native of New York moved with his wife Ronna and three children, Brendan, Molly and Keira from North Carolina to Big Sandy in December.  John has more than 10 years experience in youth ministry most recently as youth director at St. Leo parish in Winston-Salem North Carolina.  John received his master’s degree in youth ministry from Caldwell College.  He plays the bass guitar and loves to incorporate music in all his programming.  John and Ronna have always wanted to start a Catholic camp and are overjoyed that they have joined our family at The Pines.  His level of energy and passion for youth is contagious.  John and Ronna understand the mission of The Pines and we feel that they will bring freshness and new outlook to the special place we call The Pines Catholic Camp.
