Summer Special Programs
Counselor in Training
This two-week program is specially designed for rising high school seniors. The first week of the program focuses on Christian leadership development, with a special emphasis on living out your faith as young adults. They will also go through some of the staff training that our counselors have gone through with regards to working with young people, leading activities. CITs generally will assist cabin counselors during the second week of the program.
In the past we have had interviews, applications and references as part of the pre-summer process. This year, registration will be simpler, just like the registration for summer camp.

Service Work Week
Service Work Week is a powerful week where teens going into eighth grade and older can explore what it means to live in an interdependent world. The teens build community within their team, perform service projects with local East Texas Agencies serving the poor in our area, and participate in a service project at camp. In years' past at camp, they have created prayer gardens, visited children's hospitals, served at food pantries, or taken over work for our support staff (dishes, water balloons, serving meals to camp).
Their role in the world is discussed and lived out in their powerful one week experience that creates memories that lead to action well beyond camp. Up to 40 hours of community service for your school or parish can be achieved through this week --- contact us for more details.
