BUS TRANSPORTATION

The Pines offers round-trip bus transportation each summer session departing from the Business Office, located in Richardson, Texas.  Pines' representatives will be outside the Business Office for camper check-in and check-out.  The Pines charter bus is air-conditioned and includes a restroom facility.  Campers are supervised by Pines' counselors while on the bus.

Bus space is limited, so sign up early.  Check the transportation option in the Camper Registration Packet to register for the bus. 

Fees to ride the bus are as follows:

Roundtrip: $70      One Way: $45

Bus transportation fees are subject to change dependent on rising fuel costs.

 SUNDAY BUS CAMPER DROP-OFF:    11:45 a.m.

Camper check-in to ride the bus TO camp is SUNDAY.


  • SUNDAY BUS CHECK-IN LIST
    • Label and tag all of your camper's luggage before arriving at the bus stop.
    • Label medication (including over-the-counter) in a well-marked, resealable plastic bag.
    • Check-in your camper and any medication with a Pines Representative.
    • Pick up your parent information sheet, including your camper's cabin assignment, camper e-mail address and the username and password required for viewing online camper photos.
    • Have a wonderful week... your camper will!



SATURDAY BUS CAMPER PICK-UP:    NOON


Pick-up for campers arriving back on the bus FROM camp is SATURDAY.

Arrive on time and plan ahead for any traffic you might encounter.  Parents or guardians MUST check-out campers with a Pines representative before leaving to ensure camper safety.  Please note that $1 per minute, per camper will be charged to late parents picking up campers after the bus has departed from the Business Office.


  • SATURDAY CHECK-OUT LIST
    • Arrive on time.  No camper wants to be the last one picked up.
    • Check-in with a Pines representative as soon as you arrive.  Check-out your camper and listen as the staff explains the bus pick-up procedures.
    • Carefully check for all of your camper's belongings, and pick up any remaining medication.
    • Pick up a Pre-Registration Form for Summer Camp 2008.

IF YOU ARE TAKING THE BUS HOME WEEK 5 (ending early, Friday night)

  • The bus will leave camp on Friday night by 6:00pm
  • Pick up at the Richardson Business Office will be at 8:00 pm
  • Dinner will not be served at camp that Friday night, however Bus riders will receive a light meal on the bus. 

Notes to Parents:

 

  • Please discuss with your camper that the camp staff will be in charge of campers while on the bus and that there will be behavioral expectations that will be communicated to them via an orientation prior to the bus departure.

  • Be aware that legal supervision of campers begins at the time that the child is signed in by his or her parent or guardian.
