SENIOR STAFF 2008 POSITIONS

The deadline for Senior Staff 2008 Applications is NOVEMBER 10, 2007

Head Female:  As the Head Female Counselor you will be responsible for advising and overseeing the Female Staff.  You will be in a cabin and work directly with the Female Staff and act as a liason between the counseling staff and the senior staff.  You will also be responsible for helping the staff bond and writing the staff activity schedules.

Head Male:  As the Head Male Counselor you will be responsible for advising and overseeing the Male Staff.  You will be in a cabin and work directly with the Male staff on camper development and act as a liason between the counseling staff and the senior staff.  You will also be responsible for helping the staff bond and writing the staff activity schedules.

Spiritual Coordinator:  As the Spiritual Coordinator you will be responsible for the spiritual programming of camp.  Morning prayers, power club, spiritual night activity, and mass will be areas you will work on.  You will work closely with the Fire Village Coordinator on spiritual programming specifically designed for teens.  Finding ways to aid staff in their spiritual development is important.  Musical abilities would be helpful but is by no means a requirement.

Communications Coordinator and Office Manager:  Camp communication through photos, updates, and evaluations is essential to camp.  This person will be uploading photos of campers daily, taking cabin photos, writing updates on the website, camper emails and collecting camper evaluations.  In addition, this person will be the office manager to help out when our Administrative Assistant is unavailable; answering phones and being the point person in the office.  There will be S.W.A.T. Team members assigned to the office on a daily basisto help sort mail, print emails, and make copies and you will be their supervisor while in the office.  They will also be available to take pictures.

Fire Village Coordinator:  As the Fire Village Coordinator you will be in charge of programming for the Fire Village (teen campers ages 13-16).  The schedule for the Fire Village will be slightly different from the other villages depending on programming and these decisions are up to you.  You will work very closely with the Spiritual Coordinator as the spiritual development of the Fire Village is an essential aspect of this village.

Branch Village Coordinator & Programs Coordinator or Activities Coordinator:  As the Branch Village Coordinator you will be responsible for all programming in the Branch Village (campers ages 11-12).  This position will also be either Activities Coordinator (scheduling which activities occur when, how many campers can be in them, making sure they have all the supplies they need, and scheduling CHAOS); or the Programs Coordinator (overseeing Program Staff on the planning and executing of all-camp night activities and skits). On your application if you are applying for this position, indicate whether you are interested in Activities or Programs.

Water Village Coordinator & Programs Coordinator or Activities Coordinator:  As the Water Village Coordinator you will be responsible for all programming in the Water Village (campers ages 7-10).  This position will also be either Activities Coordinator (scheduling which activities occur when, how many campers can be in them, making sure they have all the supplies they need, and scheduling CHAOS); or the Programs Coordinator (overseeing Program Staff on the planning and executing of all-camp night activities and skits).  On your application if you are applying for this position, indicate whether you are interested in Activities or Programs.

S.W.A.T. Coordinator:  As the S.W.A.T. (servants with a task) Coordinator you will be supervising the S.W.A.T. Team (17-18 year olds who do work such as maintenance, office, kitchen, etc).  You will be in charge of writing their schedules, helping them with work, and helping them bond with staff and develop in their faith.  You will also be in charge of the Camp Store.  Running it during all camp free time when campers are able to shop, taking inventory, restocking, and sales on Sundays and Saturdays. 

Health Center Coordinator and Head Lifeguard/Ropes/Arts and Crafts:  This position WILL NOT BE THE CMT.  While there will be either a full time/part time/rotating CMT on camp to dispense aid and make medical decisions, you will be in charge of overseeing Health Center operations.  This involves check-in of medications on Sunday, documentation of meds and injuries, helping campers when needed, make doctor visits if needed and overseeing what goes on in the Health Center.  It is not a requirement that you have a background in health but would be helpful.  Duties will also include another role as either Head Lifeguard, Head Ropes, Head Targets, or Head of Arts and Crafts based on your area of certification/interest.  This position will not require residing in the Health Center.  You will live in community but also be available for cabin assignment.
