Aaron Kelly

Aaron is a recent graduate from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education.  He has been coaching soccer for three years and absolutely loves everything about sports.  He has amazing parents (Paul and Vicki) and a beautiful younger sister (Lauren), who inspire him each day.  Aaron is excited for the year ahead as a Pines Missionary, serving God and others.

Carolyn Gorski

Carolyn is so excited to be at The Pines for this year! She is a recent graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in Social Work. She loves the outdoors and being in the middle of nowhere, so coming to Big Sandy was perfect! She likes strawberries, tacos and having a fun with friends! Carolyn is ready to grow in her faith and use her knowledge to help all the retreatants grow in their faith as well.

James Reiss

James comes all the way from a town called East Northport on Long Island in New York. He loves praying, teaching others about Jesus and couldn’t get enough of it, so he decided to come down to Texas to make it his full time job and vocation for the academic year of 2012-2013. He has his Associates Degree from a local college but plans on continuing his education once he returns to Long Island. In his spare time, James likes to play the piano and make people laugh around The Pines Catholic Camp. He looks forward to meeting all the retreatants this year during his Missionary Work for Christ and His Kingdom.

Jeremy Stavinoha

Jeremy is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Horticulture (that means he likes plants). He has spent the last four years working with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service and then as a teacher and coach at La Vernia Junior High in his hometown. He is excited to be a missionary here at The Pines and enjoys spending time talking about and sharing his faith.

Kylie McLaughlin

Kylie McLaughlin is a South Carolina native who recently graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Psychology and Religious Studies. She prefers tutus to hula skirts, enjoys the sound of high heels on a hard floor, and finds the smell of rain irresistible. Somewhere down the road she hopes to find herself living in Scotland, spending her days working her way through reading all of the classics… BUT FIRST COMES CAMP! Kylie can’t wait to spend the year working at The Pines and she looks forward to growing in her faith while helping others do the same. She’s a rad gal!

Megan McQuaid

As a native East Texan and former summer counselor, Megan is excited to be back at home in the Piney Woods! She recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where, while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Playwriting, she acted in, directed, wrote, and built scenery and props for many many theatrical works. She likes to be unique, which is why she asked that all of the leaves be removed from the trees for this photograph…and she is thrilled to be using her unique gifts and talents to serve all of the wonderful kids that come out to The Pines!
