SWAT "Servants With A Task" The Priest

(Minimum high school graduate or have completed our C.I.T program summer 2008 or 2009)

This position's responsibilities include all the behind the scenes jobs that make camp run smoothly. The focus on the work for this team is on office, maintenance, health care or camp store. Positions change for the course of the session being worked The SWAT team also assist in activities if needed. The Swat Team lives in gender specific community and are supervised by the SWAT Coordinator. The dates for SWAT I are June 6 until July 11th (Weeks 1-5) SWAT session II is July 4- August 8 (weeks 5-9) With the team and the coordinator, there are team building events.
 

  • "Behind the scenes" jobs (focusing specifically on one of the following areas: kitchen, maintenance, office, health center or camp store)
  •  Assist skill-building activities
  •  Live in community with each other
  •  Supervised by the SWAT Coordinator

Counselor: The Prophet

(Minimum college age with a high school degree, one year out of high school, or worked SWAT 2009)

At The Pines Catholic Camp the counselor is the person with whom we put the most trust. It is the individual who is responsible for the well being emotionally and physically at all times during the campers experience at the Pines. This person must be fully committed to the teachings of the Catholic faith and have a fun heart ready to make the kids have a wonderful week! This is a position that requires 24/7 ministry and only is for those who are up for a challenge.
  • Prepare and lead activities
  • Nurture camper growth
  • Manage conflict
  • Facilitate evening devotions called "Winners' Circle."
This is a direct ministry position requiring 24/7 supervision of campers
